Requirements

  • Civil Engineer with specialization (MSc or equivalent) in Geotechnical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in geotechnical design and/or site implementation, ideally in marine or linear infrastructure projects
  • Experience with ground improvement techniques (e.g., stone columns, dynamic compaction, vibro-replacement, etc.) and foundation systems for coastal works
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, Settle3, GeoStudio, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, able to translate ground data into clear recommendations for construction teams
  • Previous experience in international or remote projects is highly desirable
  • Willingness to work full-time on site in a remote location, with potential rotation

Responsibilities

  • Analyze geotechnical investigations and reports to provide design recommendations for foundations, embankments, retaining structures, dredging, rockfill, and soil improvement
  • Supervise or coordinate in-situ testing campaigns (SPT, CPT, pressure meter, etc.) and lab testing programs
  • Collaborate with design teams and construction teams to ensure constructability and ground behavior are considered in planning and sequencing
  • Monitor ground behavior during construction (settlements, pore pressure, slope stability) and propose mitigation measures when necessary
  • Review and validate geotechnical portions of IFC documents and participate in design optimizations
  • Support claims or technical justifications related to ground conditions or geotechnical scope changes
