Responsibilities

  • Develop safety work products in Software, Hardware, and System domains
  • Collaborate with SW, HW, and SYS engineers to develop project safety case for autonomous driving and ADAS features, including hazard analysis, safety concepts, technical safety concepts, and safety analysis
  • Participate in working group to develop and modify APTIV safety process for integrated autonomous driving systems
  • Analyze feature hazards using safety analysis methods to develop system-level Technical Safety Concept and Technical Safety Requirements
  • Secure traceability and maintenance of safety requirements within the project system framework
  • Guide and review plans and competencies for compliance with method selection plan and safety plan
  • Lead development of System Core FS Technical Solution, including Development Interface Agreement, Technical Safety Concept and Requirements, safety analyses (e.g., FTA, HARA, DFMEA), HW-SW safety interfaces, reusable SW and HW safety mechanisms
  • Act as domain expert to resolve technical issues with OEMs, suppliers, and other teams
  • Participate and vote in design reviews
  • Actively participate in Functional Safety methods development
  • Perform technical assessments for system safety compliance to ISO 26262 and APTIV development process
  • Support peer reviews worldwide as a technical expert
  • Lead or support advanced systems or components of new features or technologies from a safety perspective
  • Provide Change Request Analysis for Product Change Evaluation as needed
