Full Stack JavaScript Software Engineer

Position Overview

ClickHouse is seeking exceptional Full Stack JavaScript Software Engineers to join our Control Plane engineering teams. These teams are responsible for building the billing platform for ClickHouse Cloud, the SQL Console, and all internal and external UI dashboards. About the Team

Our Control Plane engineering teams focus on building the billing platform for ClickHouse Cloud, the SQL Console, and our UI dashboards. We are looking for engineers who can contribute across both frontend and backend development, integrating with various external systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure the best customer experience, prioritizing reliability, scalability, privacy, security, and observability, all while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Build ClickHouse Cloud Interfaces: Design and build mission-critical processes for ClickHouse Cloud interfaces, dashboards, and consoles.
• Create with Purpose: Develop with clear rationale and reasoning for decisions, enabling effective communication of ideas and solutions to peers and stakeholders.
• Deliver Robust Platforms: Create secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms that abstract away infrastructure complexity.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal solutions.
• System Integration: Integrate with a variety of essential systems, including Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, and Support.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building front-end systems running on the cloud.
• Full Stack Skills: Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Serverless, and Node.JS. Proficiency in multiple languages is encouraged.
• Project Leadership: Proven experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects in collaboration with other experienced engineers.
• Full-Cycle Development: Strong ownership of code quality and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software lifecycle.
• Cloud Expertise: Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across engineering departments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and solid production debugging skills.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and act as a business partner focused on driving business forward.
• Accountability: High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
