Requirements

  • IBM Cognos Business Intelligence (Must have: Cognos, Cognos Framework Manager, SQL, Report Studio, Dashboards, Event Studio, Datasets, Stories)
  • Cognos Development
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or Snowflake
  • Knowledge of capital markets industry domain (Good to have: Capital Markets Research, Power BI, Knowledge of AWS)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and end users to understand functional and technical data requirements to develop reports, manage reporting frameworks, and administer environments
  • Create complex reports with prompts, filters, grouping, sorting, and drill through functionalities for Portfolio Managers, Traders, Industry Analysts, and Senior Leadership
  • Develop and maintain Cognos reports and interactive dashboards, ensuring data accuracy for end user experience
  • Develop in Cognos Studios (Report Studio, Dashboards, Event Studio, Datasets, Stories, etc.)
  • Tune and optimize report and dashboard performance by coordinating with System Admin and DBA
  • Integrate with enterprise data sources including SQL Server, Snowflake, SaaS Platforms (Anaplan), REST APIs, etc
  • Perform Cognos Framework Manager and Data Module modeling and development
  • Develop standards, procedures, and best practices for Cognos usage while staying abreast of new product offerings
