Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales and product team on decisions and strategy.
  • Uphold best practices around code quality, strong typing, and API design.
  • Establish best practices, ensuring systems and processes are well documented for scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing practices and maintain Toku’s high technical quality.
  • Achieve technical goals and coordinate with the founders, shipping code daily.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in software engineering at a venture-backed startup.
  • Coding Skills: Ability to write quality, maintainable code in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to stitch together many different services and processes.
  • Quality Focus: Knowledge of high-quality code and software engineering processes.
  • Startup Experience: Interest or experience in a fast-paced remote-first startup.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional teamwork, analytical/problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Hustle: A hustler mentality, founding a company or building side projects is a plus.
  • Product Experience: Experience building front-end and back-end systems and launching/scaling products.
