Senior/Lead/Staff level experience as a Frontend Engineer
Expertise in building high-impact, cross-platform UI experiences
Strong focus on user-centric product experiences
Collaborative mindset, partnering with product managers, designers, and frontend/mobile engineers
Ability to design and own scalable, performant systems and APIs tailored to user needs
Experience making smart trade-offs between speed, cost, and user experience
Understanding of simplicity and reliability in system design
Familiarity with reliable tools like PHP/Hack, Java, MySQL, and Linux (huge plus), or substitutes like Python, Ruby, and other relational databases

Responsibilities

Lead development of high-impact, cross-platform experiences between Slack and Salesforce
Build the integration that brings Salesforce data and workflows directly into Slack
Brainstorm with Product Managers (and implied collaboration with team)
Design and own systems and APIs that shape Slack’s product experience
Ensure systems are scalable, performant, and tailored to real user needs
Partner closely with product managers, designers, and frontend/mobile engineers to conceptualize and build new features
Drive the connective tissue making Slack and Salesforce feel like one seamless system
