Requirements
Candidates should have 5+ years of professional front-end development experience. Strong proficiency in React and its ecosystem is required, along with expert knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility is essential, as well as a proven ability to quickly understand and work with existing codebases. Candidates should also have experience taking products from development to production.
Responsibilities
The Founding Front End Engineer will serve as the first in-house front-end engineer and work closely with the head of engineering. They will own the React codebase and continue development toward the product launch and beyond. The engineer will build and optimize user-facing features for the consumer-oriented application and collaborate with the design team to transform wireframes into fully functional user interfaces. They will ensure performance optimization and responsive design across multiple platforms, implement best practices in front-end code quality, testing, and documentation, and lead efforts in front-end testing while maintaining the application's reliability.
