Master's degree in animal nutrition preferred (experience may offset)
5 years of nutritional experience required
Related formulation experience and related software experience highly desired
Knowledge of premix formulation is a plus

Responsibilities

Implement and support formulation of custom premixes and feed additives for internal and external customers, including creating formulas to specification, creating/maintaining labels, and evaluating rework or alternative ingredients
Manage new, revised, and current products (large focus on swine and poultry formulas) using formulation and nutrition expertise, ensuring product specifications are met and aligned with manufacturing capabilities at each plant
Provide timely responses to customers to communicate/troubleshoot formula details, address problems with effective solutions, and ensure accurate product setup
Create and maintain feed labels in compliance with FDA, state, and business requirements
Provide technical support across multiple departments, including sales, customers, manufacturing, and quality
Collaborate cross-functionally and maintain professional interface between customers and the business
Handle rework formulation and formulation system support, utilizing tools to recognize, track, and capture savings opportunities aligned with SLT and/or procurement team direction
Manage product movement/extensions across Nutra Blend facilities, ensuring correct setup and consistent quality standards at each manufacturing location
