Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Quantitative Developer or Financial Engineer in financial markets
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C, VBA, or Java
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Familiarity with numerical analysis and stochastic calculus (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong interest in financial markets and quantitative modeling
  • Legal right to work in Italy without restrictions for full-time employment
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Excel
  • Exposure to OTC derivatives and risk management frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop valuation algorithms for new and existing financial instruments
  • Maintain and enhance quantitative libraries supporting OTC derivatives valuation and risk management
  • Build and test quantitative models and perform statistical analysis on large time-series datasets
  • Develop backtesting environments and extract research datasets from client data
  • Produce detailed functional specifications aligned with business needs
  • Implement new functionalities and support development teams during integration
  • Participate in pre-sales workshops to provide financial expertise and strategic input
  • Provide client support by explaining research methodologies and facilitating product integration
  • Lead cross-product initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Define team roles and structures to support various projects
  • Collaborate with documentation teams to produce comprehensive user guides
