Requirements

  • Experience in accounting/finance within a business finance department
  • Ability to act as a business partner for R&D (pharmaceutical clinical development) operations
  • Skills in sales analysis, budget management, operational efficiency improvements, and support for contracts/invoicing
  • Experience managing monthly management reporting processes, providing clear, concise, timely, and accurate performance analysis and reports
  • Capability to support R&D finance directors and CFO in monthly/quarterly financial outlooks, annual budgets (performance targets), and mid-term strategic planning
  • Proficiency in forecasting/analyzing revenue, pricing, costs and expenses, working capital, and human resources
  • Experience launching finance system projects and supporting proper invoicing/cash collection
  • Knowledge of ensuring appropriate revenue recognition and providing support for financial/SOX audits
  • Ability to communicate directly with project managers to ensure project profitability
  • Skills in reading and understanding customer contracts to ensure alignment with company/BU policies
  • Competence in providing timely decision-support services for Japanese R&D operations
  • Ability to monitor financial and operational KPIs, analyze trends, and propose corrective actions for deviations to drive business growth and productivity
  • Experience in the responsible business unit with: sales recognition/management, new order recognition/management, audit/SOX compliance, budget preparation/variance analysis, and system/tool support
  • Depending on experience and abilities: involvement in mid-to-long-term planning and pricing tasks

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly management reporting processes (FPA) and provide clear, concise, timely, and accurate performance analysis and reports
