Position Overview

  • Environmental Conditions: Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree from technical school is a plus.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Safe Driving Record
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • 1+ year of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of experience repairing, troubleshooting, and equipment testing (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Provide sophisticated services on laboratory equipment, including:
    • Repair
    • Install
    • Maintain various laboratory equipment products (temperature monitoring, incubators, centrifuges, refrigerators, freezers, and cryogenic storage).
  • Work directly with customers to schedule visits, address their concerns, and provide reassurance while resolving their problems.
  • Complete learning assignments on time, reading procedures, submitting expense reports, and maintaining spare part inventory.
  • Overnight travel of approximately 10% is required to service customers and participate in training programs.
