Requirements

  • BA Degree in Information Technology or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in Information Technology
  • A+, Network+ or Cisco CNA Certifications (preferred)
  • Applicable knowledge of Information Technology Network infrastructures, including working with computers, servers, network switches, and understanding of network traffic with troubleshooting command knowledge (must demonstrate basic commands)
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) structure, implementing AD policies, and Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft Certifications preferred)
  • Must live in the Memphis, TN area
  • Ability to comply with GEHC's standard background check, post-offer drug test, customer access policies (including immunizations), and additional drug tests or background checks as required
  • Special physical requirements: able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand for long periods, and reach at, above, and below shoulders

Responsibilities

  • Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, Field Modification Instructions (FMIs), and/or Instrument Service Information (ISI) bulletins
  • Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation
  • Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment
  • Effectively communicate and partner with teammates, colleagues, and customers to ensure resolution, proper follow-up, and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with customers and recommend value-added services to help them run their business more efficiently
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities, including customer service logs, internal service records, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times
  • Utilize GEHC escalation process, work with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans, and resolve customer issues timely
  • Serve as a member of the account community for key accounts
  • Engage commercial counterparts, identify potential sales leads, participate in sales opportunities (e.g., contract renewals), and assist with promoting revenue programs
  • Focus on customer needs, build and enhance customer relationships to become a perceived partner
  • Keep up to date with competitor information and market trends
  • Answer service calls independently without assistance within one year of employment
  • Be a self-starter, take ownership of job responsibilities, take good notes, demonstrate understanding, and share with direct leader and mentor
  • Perform on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment, follow all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins
  • Work with experienced Field Engineers (onsite and remotely) to learn troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation techniques
  • Drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence
