Requirements
- Reside in Georgia
- Innovative, high energy, resilient, determined, assertive, clever, and competitive
- Knowledge of Georgia workers' compensation laws
- Skilled at developing strategies to bring claims to resolution
- Ability to work from home office approximately 40% of the time and in the field approximately 60% of the time
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel as needed and where caseload dictates
- Ability to operate and/or travel in a motor vehicle for long periods of time
- May require occasional travel by airplane
- Physical ability for prolonged sitting and/or standing
Responsibilities
- Investigating losses
- Analyzing coverage, determining compensability and benefits
- Establishing reserves and negotiating settlements
- Conducting face-to-face meetings with claimants and insureds
- Preparing large loss reports to both internal and external audiences
- Attending settlement conferences, pre-trials, and trials as assigned
- Working closely with defense attorneys and other vendors including medical case management, surveillance, etc
