Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in auto damage field appraisals (preferred)
- High School Diploma required
- Experience creating auto damage appraisals with emphasis on auto body repair and refinishing
- Additional experience in repair of mechanical, frame, suspension, and other related automotive components (beneficial)
- Experience creating computerized appraisals on approved software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literacy skills
- Adequate interpersonal skills to negotiate fair and equitable settlements per industry and company standards
- Excellent time management skills
- Must live in the assigned territory (West Palm Beach area)
Responsibilities
- Receive electronic appraisal assignments and set appointments with customers for appraisal completion
- Review, explain, and negotiate completed damage estimates with customers and shops
- Issue payments on appropriate claims, document claims system, and communicate with inside adjusters
- Work with other appraisers to meet team goals
- Appraise and investigate customer reported damages
- Assist in the processing of Total Loss claim documentation
