Requirements

People management experience with ongoing IC/TL responsibilities
Expert knowledge of either Rust or C++
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and horizontally scalable distributed systems
Knowledge of service observability and reliability best practices
Experience in operating commonly used databases such as PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, and CockroachDB
4 to 12 years of software engineering experience, including 1+ year of people management
Background in full stack with in-depth understanding of product architecture
Proven experience in AI or machine learning product implementation with APIs, back-end, and front-end interfaces
Expertise in prompt engineering
Proven Expertise in Python and/or TypeScript
Great verbal and written communication skills in English
Experience in Python and/or TypeScript
Understanding of the HTTP protocol
Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team while maintaining individual contributor/technical lead responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain reliable and horizontally scalable distributed systems
Apply service observability and reliability best practices
Operate databases such as PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, and CockroachDB
Ship high-quality code and complete projects in challenging environments
Navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced startup
Interface with customers to clarify requirements and drive projects to completion
Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable AI-driven solutions
Work with large, complex codebases and design efficient data processing and model serving architectures
Turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions
Contribute directly to the company’s mission through hands-on work, initiative, and excellence
