Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, or foreign degree equivalent
  • Plus 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or Product Support Engineer and/or Mechatronics Engineer in robotics engineering design and integration services
  • Experience must include: Coding in Python and C++
  • Ethercat System Controls protocol
  • Networking protocols: UDP, TCP/IP and CAN
  • Troubleshooting/debugging electromechanical system and robots
  • Working with warehouse autonomous mobile robots

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechatronic assemblies spanning entire robot stack, from motor controllers to sensing and data acquisition utilizing Python and C++
  • Develop and implement EtherCat System Real Time Controls base and related verification and validation test protocols, including UDP, TCP/IP and CAN
  • Onsite customer technical support
  • Troubleshoot/debug electromechanical system and robots
  • Work with warehouse autonomous mobile vehicles
  • Travel 4x per year to customer sites in Tracy, CA and Seattle, WA
