About the Role

We are building the next-generation cloud-native security platform for CrowdStrike, encompassing an application and service delivery platform, scalable distributed data storage and replication systems, and a cutting-edge search and distributed graph system. You will be instrumental in innovating and developing the CrowdStrike Asset Platform system. This role requires expertise in distributed technologies, algorithms, API and systems design, and a passion for high-performance code.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to backend engineering efforts, from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products.
  • Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale services.
  • Take ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Triage system issues and debug by analyzing root causes and their impact on service operations.
  • Contribute to and own aspects of work aimed at improving architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
  • Partner with product teams to build their use-cases and solutions on the platform.

What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Computer Science (or commensurate experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems).
  • Proven ability to scale backend systems (sharding, partitioning, horizontal scaling).
  • A strong desire to ship code and see it run in production.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
  • Excellent team player skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
  • Skills to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality, unit-tested software with regular integration.

Bonus Points

  • Experience building Graph Storage or other database systems.
  • Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
  • Experience working on security products.
