Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience conducting assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects (implied from duties)
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques for process engineering or ability to adapt standard methods
  • Experience coordinating with outside vendors or divisional contacts
  • Expertise in design, development, and installation of PLC based control systems for high-speed production equipment
  • Ability to direct and/or coordinate activities of others on projects
  • Skills in investigating product inquiries, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
  • Subject matter expertise on relevant technologies
  • Compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001), including validation, NCR/CAPA, audits
  • Ability to build performance reports and provide status updates
  • Experience with process validations
  • Understanding of safety and industrial hygiene requirements
  • Ability to communicate and escalate issues timely
  • Understanding of Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives

Responsibilities

  • Provide platform ownership of multiple equipment types, including equipment reliability
  • Coordinate and plan day-to-day activities of wage associates
  • Conduct assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects
  • Determine methods and techniques to be used or adapt standard methods
  • Coordinate phases of work with outside vendors or other divisional contacts
  • Design, develop, and install PLC based control systems for high-speed production equipment
  • Direct and/or coordinate activities of others assigned to assist in projects
  • Investigate product inquiries, develop and implement corrective actions
  • Build subject matter expertise on technology as needed
  • Comply with quality management system, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies (e.g., validation documents, NCR/CAPA, audits, VMP)
  • Apply knowledge to non-conformance, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Build key performance process engineering reports and escalate to management with status updates
  • Carry out process validations on Process Engineering initiatives for operational and supply chain integration
  • Assist with Process Engineering Technician activities, supporting safety and industrial hygiene
  • Communicate and escalate Process Engineering issues to management timely
  • Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily interactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
