Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's degree in Computer Science, with 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Passionate about web application development involving Java/J2EE-related technologies, demonstrating a strong understanding of OOAD principles and methodologies
  • Proficient knowledge of Java application development frameworks and technologies like Apache Tomcat, Juice, Spring, as well as JSON/XML/Ajax
  • Strong grasp of building Java/JEE web applications within a micro-services setup (incorporating Spring Boot, REST APIs)
  • Proficient in programming subject areas such as object-oriented principles, build patterns, and unit testing (TDD using JUnit)
  • Proficient knowledge of databases such as Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, and NoSQL DB, as well as persistence frameworks like Hibernate and SQL
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience, instincts, and passion for testing, testability, and automation
  • Experience with defining and implementing non-functional requirements (NFR – security, performance, cost, etc.)
  • Ready to learn bioinformatics domain-related aspects needed for the development and invention of software on the job

Responsibilities
