Requirements

In-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline (Full Stack Development with React frontends, Python-based microservices, ML pipeline integration)
Ability to determine own work priorities and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
In-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in specified engineering specialty
In-depth knowledge of and ability to apply process design and redesign skills
Knowledge of and ability to apply project management skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules and overtime as necessary
Understanding of Operating Principles and commitment to customer experience, enthusiasm for technology/products/services

Responsibilities

Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and conducts analysis to determine integration needs
Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development, customizes current applications, and assists with software update process and roll-outs
Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications
Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations/reports
Monitors and evaluates competitive applications/products; reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to assigned projects
Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance on practices, procedures and techniques; serves as guide/mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers
Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements
Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences
Develop high-quality React frontends, architect Python-based microservices, integrate intelligence from ML pipelines, and contribute to workflow automation for AI-driven platform automation, solutions, and reliability platforms
