Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
  • 1–2 years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, or systems software (including internships)
  • Proficiency in Python and C
  • Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals (version control, testing, modular design, PR reviews)
  • Strong familiarity with Linux: command-line usage, system debug, and configuration
  • Interest in QA practices, test development, and system validation techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated QA test infrastructure to validate hardware-software integration
  • Participate in manual validation and debugging using lab tools (oscilloscope, soldering, harness building)
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure end-to-end system reliability
  • Write and maintain embedded software in Python and C for our Linux-based scanner systems
  • Build and deploy software and operating system components to embedded devices
  • Write low-level firmware in C for STM32 microcontrollers, including motor and sensor interfaces
  • Prototype and integrate new hardware peripherals using your driver development and debugging skills
  • Support field deployments and help resolve scanner performance issues through test-driven problem solving
