Requirements

Have 5 years industrial/commercial electrician experience
Journeyman License or Industrial Electrician License required within 6 months of employment
Vocational training preferred
Ability to troubleshoot PLC, HMI and electrical issues
Ability to read electrical prints and perform job layouts for electrical devices and circuitry
Pneumatic control or hydraulic system experience preferred
Familiar with the use of a welder and an oxy-acetylene torch
Able to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance as assigned daily, weekly, monthly, etc
Sign out all parts taken from the storeroom returning any that were not used
Fill out work order detail
Help troubleshoot and repair operational equipment as needed
Participate in the continuous improvement efforts on maintenance effectiveness to eliminate breakdowns and increase equipment reliability
Inspects assigned equipment to ensure it is in safe operating condition
Verifies all safety devices (guards, control circuit devices, stop blocks, etc.) on assigned equipment are always intact and properly secured
Follows all energy isolation requirements
