The compensation is $43.65 for a Journeyperson or $36.67 - 42.78 for a Journeyperson In Training, determined by certificates, credentials, and interview scoring. This is an on-site position at the Defiance location requiring physical presence, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and drive mobile equipment in a busy plant environment.
Candidates need at least six (6) years of related experience as an Electrician or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Electrical trade, plus the ability to pass comprehensive assessments, drug testing, and background check.
The role requires flexibility to work day, afternoon, or night shifts, plus overtime, weekends, and holidays with little notice.
Strong candidates demonstrate problem-solving skills, ability to read drawings and wiring schematics, promote teamwork, participate in continuous improvement, and hold relevant experience or certification to achieve Journeyperson status.
