Requirements

Candidates should possess significant relevant experience in an editing role, strong news judgment across a range of subjects, a proven record of editing quickly in a fast-paced environment, excellent writing and copy editing skills, and demonstrable knowledge of digital tools or applications including content management systems and editing assistance software, as well as demonstrable knowledge of common IT tools such as the Microsoft suite.

Responsibilities

The Digital Content Editor will assign, create, edit, and optimize digital copy quickly and cleanly in a fast-paced environment, working with editors and reporters in the creation of content, including using AI tools, assigning stories as required, editing stories as required, writing stories as required, providing feedback and guidance to reporters to improve standards, working with the SEO, Multimedia teams and others to optimize content, meeting tight deadlines, and performing any other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
