In-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline (software and web application development)

In-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the specified engineering specialty
In-depth knowledge of and ability to apply process design and redesign skills

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
Design new software and web applications, support applications under development, and customize current applications
Assist with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases
Participate in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications
Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, formal recommendations, and reports
Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects
Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance on practices, procedures, and techniques; serve as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers
Work with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specifications and technical requirements
Plan and design new software and web applications; analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications; document all development activity; assist with training non-technical personnel
Understand and apply Operating Principles; own the customer experience; know products and services; win as a team; participate in Net Promoter System; drive results and growth; promote inclusion and diversity
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
