Requirements
- Minimum of 12-15 years of industry experience in engineering/design execution and associated applications
- Significant, demonstrated results leading Electrical design efforts supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation projects and BOP systems engineering and design
- Knowledge of discipline-related industry standards (e.g., NEC/IEC, ISA, ASME, NACE, API, IEEE) and experience with standards application across engineering specifications and vendor documentation
- Comprehensive familiarity with CAD software packages supporting electrical design and broad knowledge of design and drafting techniques including schematics, diagram generation, and installation details
- Knowhow of IEEE/IEC codes, safety in design/EHS aspects, and Electrical domain industry engineering practices
Responsibilities
- Researching new materials and competitive products; organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes
- Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents; participating in buy-build analysis for product components
- Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Preparation of basic Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan & Section of Overall plant, Equipment control room building, Earthing Layout, DSLP Layout, Trench Layout etc
- Earthing design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Illumination system design, Sag Tension calculation, Short Circuit Force and Bus-bar Sizing as per IEEE/IEC
- Calculation of Load, Equipment sizing, Calculation & Technical Specs
- Evaluation of vendor Drawings, BOQ estimation, RFQ finalization & evaluation of various components, selection of equipment with best pricing options
- Flexible and quick to learn global developments in EPC-Oil & Gas projects technologies and adopt
- Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Provide virtual technical support for shop floor for the orders engineered & commissioning support
- Team handling & development
- Over-seeing and guiding the team to ensure productivity, efficiency & quality in daily operations
- Co-ordinating design activities with multi-disciplinary team
- Responsible for the Review of all the deliverables, timely delivery
