Requirements
- Ability to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
- Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Capability to maintain presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including display cases
- Understanding of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
- Commitment to customer service excellence, including Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA) standards
- Ability to work as a team, embrace inclusion and diversity, and maintain a friendly, positive attitude
- Physical ability to carry out job functions such as stocking, rotating, and storing products
Responsibilities
- Provide high level of customer service to Members: answer questions, recommend deli items, answer calls, take special orders
- Slice, package, weigh deli products (cheeses, meats); help Members select products; sample products; prepare and package special orders and party trays
- Receive and inspect deli shipments; display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following policies
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards; check for out-of-date products daily and follow disposal procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli department, inside and out, including display cases
- Support club policies, procedures, and compliance; act with honesty, integrity, and member focus
- Deliver GOLD club standards daily: ensure fast, friendly, full, fresh, clean environment; execute promotional plans and maintain accurate signage
- Resolve and deescalate member concerns; ensure safe and positive environment for members and team
