Requirements
- Ability to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
- Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Capability to maintain presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including display cases
- Understanding of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
- Commitment to customer service excellence, including Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA) standards
- Ability to work as a team, embrace inclusion and diversity, and maintain a friendly, positive attitude
- Physical ability to carry out job functions such as stocking, displaying, rotating, and storing products
Responsibilities
- Provide high level of customer service to Members, answer questions, recommend deli items, handle calls, and take special orders
- Slice, package, weigh deli products (cheeses and meats), help Members select products, sample products, and prepare special orders and party trays
- Receive and inspect deli shipments
- Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards; check for out-of-date products daily and follow disposal procedures
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the deli department, including display cases
- Support club policies, procedures, and compliance; ensure safe and positive environment; escalate concerns as appropriate
- Deliver GOLD Member Standards and club standards daily, including grand opening look, stocking, promotional execution, accurate signage, and organization
