Position appropriate security clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph)
Technical expertise in database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis
Experience developing relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software
Ability to project long-range requirements for database administration and design
Ability to develop database structures fitting into overall system architecture, making trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security, and domain controls
Experience working at the front end of the lifecycle (requirements through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability)
Proficiency in creating/recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, macros; updating queries; manipulating data into master files; building complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity, and cloud methodologies

Responsibilities

Support database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities
Support analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts
Support development of long- and short-term requirements for database administration and design
Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software
Translate requirements and data into usable database schema by creating/recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, macros; updating existing queries; creating new ones to manipulate data into master files
Assist in developing database structures that fit into overall system architecture
Lead development of database structures fitting into overall system architecture
Lead development of databases, database parser software, and database loading software
Develop requirement recommendations from project inception to conclusion for business and IT subject matter areas (simple to complex systems)
Develop database structure fitting into overall system architecture, making trades among data volumes, users, distribution, response times, retention, security, and controls
Direct fulfillment of requirements from project inception to conclusion
Direct organization of requirements and data into usable database schema by directing development of ad hoc queries, scripts, macros, and updates
Direct overall database structure fitting into system architecture, making trades among data volumes, users, distribution, response times, retention, security, and controls
