Requirements

5+ years of hands-on Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB database experience in a mission critical 24x7 environment
Proven experience managing Oracle EBS environments, including installation, patching, cloning, and performance tuning
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with an understanding of ITIL
Experience with full database lifecycle management: upgrades, patching, cloning, backups, and recovery
Experience with automated database deployment using Jenkins, Ansible, or similar tools
Understanding of Unix operating systems
4+ years AWS experience designing and supporting hyper-scale mission critical database architecture (plus)
2+ years proficiency in writing, profiling, and optimizing SQL queries for performance (plus)
Understanding of Data Warehouse, Datamarts, Data Lake, Modeling and profiling (plus)

Responsibilities

Manage full database lifecycle to include initial installation and configuration of database technologies, deploy engineered system design solutions, daily operations, administration, upgrades, and management of database technologies
Provide high-end technical DBA support within a variety of operating environments while also supporting/assisting software development and operational teams with database definition, structure, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and security/integrity controls according to industry best practices
Propose and implement enhancements to improve performance and reliability within the supported IT environments
Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle EBS environments, including both database and application tiers
Manage EBS concurrent managers, workflows, and patch application
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across database and application tiers
Serve as subject matter expert: performance tuning and administration, adept at analyzing and tuning SQL and Oracle EBS
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution
Work closely with L1/L2/L3 support teams to proactively identify and resolve issues
Participate in 24x7 On Call rotation
