Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
Proven experience (5+ years) managing data science teams or similar technical teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Strong understanding of data science methodologies, tools, and techniques, with the ability to provide high-level technical guidance

Responsibilities

People Management: Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists and research scientists. Provide guidance on career growth, skill development, and performance improvement
Program Management: Oversee the execution of multiple data science projects within the Data Science Health Team. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation to maximize team efficiency and project outcomes. Coordinate with other departments to secure necessary resources and support for team initiatives
Roadmapping: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for the Health Team's data science initiatives. Ensure alignment with company objectives and market trends
Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate dependencies across projects to minimize risks and ensure smooth execution. Proactively communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve conflicts
Team Support: Act as a supportive leader, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Provide guidance and assistance to overcome challenges and achieve team goals
Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for communicating project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication within the team to ensure clarity and alignment
