Position Overview

Well is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and tooling. The role involves creating new services, interfaces, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure to handle large datasets. This is a pivotal time to join Well and contribute to rebuilding the data infrastructure for scale and supporting mission-critical AI features.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with Node.js, Python, SQL, and Terraform
  • Understanding of ETL processes
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
  • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines
  • Strong collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a robust ETL process for ingesting data from external parties into GCP BigQuery.
  • Configure, maintain, and extend core data platform and internal data administration tools.
  • Monitor ETL processes and respond to errors.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps engineers, and data scientists.
  • Participate in code reviews, quality assurance, and production monitoring.
  • Ensure the security and safety of member data, adhering to Well data and security policies and HIPAA guidelines.
