Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Assure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practices
  • Follow strict Utility, State and Federal guidelines relating to damage prevention
  • Wear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and company uniform
  • Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings
  • Hand out educational materials and public awareness items to excavators
  • Visit 3rd party excavation sites and construction zones regularly
  • Collect data using handheld tablet or other collection device
  • Show courtesy and professionalism when dealing with customers and other employees
  • Complete Work Orders on assigned dates
  • Travel to visit sites on occasion
  • Provide timely reports and documentation to management regularly
  • Escalate issues and questions to Supervisor when necessary
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
  • Keep assigned vehicle clean
  • Report equipment and vehicle issues immediately
  • Communicate with dispatchers
  • Other duties as needed
