Candidates must possess an active Secret Clearance or higher and an IAT Level 2 certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on threat detection, mitigation, and compliance is required. Applicants should have a strong understanding of DOD cybersecurity policies, including RMF, and familiarity with tools like SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, while previous experience with the USAF or DOD and knowledge of classified network environments are highly preferred.
The Cybersecurity Analyst will monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems. They will conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies to strengthen system security. The role involves maintaining and enforcing cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with DOD regulations, performing system security audits and risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for secure IT infrastructure design. Additionally, the analyst will support security authorization processes, provide user training on cybersecurity tools, and stay current with emerging cyber threats and technologies.
