Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education
  • Proven expertise with integration of manufacturing and enterprise systems, including interfacing at least 1-2 MES (Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Aveva MES) or IoT platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Thingworx) with SCADA/PLCs/historians/machine data/field devices
  • Experience in systems integration projects, hands-on involvement and leadership in defining, designing, configuring, and implementing interfaces
  • Strong understanding and experience of implementation of integration with shop-floor automation systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Historians (Aveva, GE Proficy, Honeywell etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial interoperability protocols (OPC, Mimosa, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet etc.)
  • Experience with industrial data platforms and middleware tools (Kepware, Ignition, Azure IoT, Kafka, or similar)
  • Knowledge of modern integration approaches: micro-services, cloud/hybrid integrations, event-driven architecture, API gateways, message queues, enterprise service bus (ESB), data mapping and transformation leveraging ETL tools

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the IT–OT integration architecture, aligning enterprise and shop-floor systems for digital manufacturing connectivity and interoperability
  • Develop and enforce integration standards, data models, and communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs, EDI etc.)
  • Recommend, design/develop and configure solutions with integration platforms or middleware (e.g., Azure IoT Hub, Kepware, Ignition, MuleSoft etc.)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and integration architecture maps
  • Lead design, development and deployment of interfaces enabling end-to-end system connectivity: digital engineering (PLM) to enterprise operations (ERP) to production/shopfloor (MES/SCADA/PLCs/Historian/sensors) and logistics (WMS)
  • Ensure integrations meet cybersecurity, scalability, reliability, data accuracy and performance standards
  • Troubleshoot data flow or communication issues between IT and OT layers
  • Partner with IT and OT stakeholders and partners to identify integration opportunities and design optimal solutions
  • Establish data governance and interface management practices to ensure consistent and compliant information exchange
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing on IT–OT integration standards, tools, and best practices
