Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and design using modern API Gateways (e.g., APIGEE, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi)
2+ years of experience in APIGEE
Proficiency in Apigee (must-have skill)
15 years full-time education
Strong understanding of cloud native architectures and principles
Experience in designing and implementing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good-to-have: Experience with Google Cloud Platform Architecture, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Kubernetes

Responsibilities

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborate, and manage the team to perform
Design and develop cloud native architectures to build and run scalable applications using containers, microservices, immutable infrastructure, and declarative APIs
Ensure the successful implementation of cloud native technologies
Install, configure, and test Apigee installations and upgrades
Design, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using APIGEE
Implement API layer requirements like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications
Design and develop API platform to connect to various disparate backend systems for seamless data exchange
Build and support APIs through the entire lifecycle
Perform regular health checks and monitor performance of the Apigee environment
Write Open API specs and smart docs for onboarding APIs to developer portal
Create custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, etc., in Apigee or any other APIM
Build and create shared flows for error handling, security, and other scenarios
Create REST API documentation using Swagger, YAML, or similar tools
Standardize the CI/CD setup for Apigee for automated deployment
Develop and configure software systems end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle, applying knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support clients, projects, or entities
