Requirements

Candidates should have 4-6 years of experience in editorial, cultural programming, or event curation, preferably with a luxury, lifestyle, or culture-driven brand or publication. A deep understanding of the global cultural calendar across multiple verticals and a proven editorial voice are essential. Strong organizational skills, comfort with creative and commercial priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a network of writers, editors, PR professionals, and cultural influencers are required. Based in New York or Miami is preferred, with the ability to travel.

Responsibilities

The Culture Calendar Editor will curate, edit, and program the app's global Culture Calendar, identifying thematic storylines and bridging the tone of Dorsia and Surface magazine. This role includes leading the launch of a weekly culture newsletter, aggregating and verifying global cultural events, interviewing cultural figures, and commissioning event write-ups. Responsibilities also encompass adapting content for multiple platforms, collaborating with product and marketing teams, and utilizing AI tools for content enhancement and workflow management. The editor will represent Dorsia at select cultural events, maintain an understanding of regional markets, and manage content workflow using Figma, Notion, and CMS platforms, while applying SEO best practices.
