Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting or finance experience preferred
  • Manufacturing or plant accounting experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ability to accurately apply the principles
  • Experience with SAP is preferred, but not required
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee/refugee, national of non-prohibited country with letter of assurance, or approved for export license)

Responsibilities

  • Perform transactional accounting items throughout the month as needed
  • Perform month-end closing activities for assigned locations, including preparation of journal entries, management reports, and account reconciliations
  • Conduct review and analysis related to production order activity, spending variances, balance sheet accuracy, and the need for accruals
  • Assist in the annual operating budget including preparation of capital spending and depreciation plans and plant cost center spending budgets
  • Assist with the annual physical inventory and audit of cycle counts at assigned locations
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP and all company accounting policies
  • Maintain procedural documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance initiatives
  • Assist with requirements of both internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits
  • Assist with special projects as needed
