Requirements

Qualified to HNC level or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering discipline (or proven industry experience backed by a recognised engineering apprenticeship)
Experience working on automation projects and developing solutions to complex automation needs
Track record of fault finding and modification to PLC, HMI, Motion Control for automated machinery
Exposure to Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Studio 5000 (essential)
Experience using Structured language in both platforms (desirable)
Experience working with Oracle database (advantageous)
Track record of accomplishing objectives, working proactively, and managing own time effectively
Ability to follow procedures and create accurate documents (due to highly regulated industry)

Responsibilities

Provide an innovative approach to problem solving and stay abreast of current developments in control systems technology to ensure effective solutions
Collaborate with engineering colleagues on systems for motion control equipment
Interpret PLC codes, debug issues, and aid continuous improvement activities
Work across all aspects of the manufacturing area
