  • Qualified to HNC level or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering discipline (or proven industry experience backed by a recognised engineering apprenticeship)
  • Experience working on automation projects and developing solutions to complex automation needs
  • Track record of fault finding and modification to PLC, HMI, Motion Control for automated machinery
  • Exposure to Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Studio 5000 (essential)
  • Experience using Structured language in both platforms (desirable)
  • Experience working with Oracle database (advantageous)
  • Track record of accomplishing objectives, working proactively, and managing own time effectively
  • Ability to follow procedures and create accurate documents (due to highly regulated industry)

  • Provide an innovative approach to problem solving and stay abreast of current developments in control systems technology to ensure effective solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering colleagues on systems for motion control equipment
  • Interpret PLC codes, debug issues, and aid continuous improvement activities
  • Work across all aspects of the manufacturing area
