Requirements
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) principles, processes, and tools: Including baseline management, change control, and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
- Familiarity with CM standards: Preference for knowledge of Mil-HDBK-61B, GEIA 649-1, and GEIA 649C standards
- Experience supporting Army electronic equipment programs and ACAT level programs: Proven experience in this area is essential
- Expertise in managing and improving CM processes: Including the development and maintenance of CM plans
Responsibilities
- Provide Engineering and Analytical Support: Support CM operations across all program phases, aligning with DoD, Army, and PM PNT CM standards and documentation requirements
- Develop, Maintain, and Improve CM Plans: Create and update CM plans, documentation, and processes to support program objectives, including sections of CM Plans, SOW requirements, and CDRLs
- Manage the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Process: Review, impact analysis (cost, schedule, performance), and routing of ECPs through the formal change control process
- Lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs): Organize, conduct, and lead CCBs, providing technical reviews, risk and impact assessments, and recommendations for change approvals
- Maintain Configuration Status Accounting (CSA): Manage internal repositories and government-provided CM databases, ensuring accurate records of configuration items
- Evaluate and Maintain ECPs and RFVs: Organize and maintain repositories of ECPs and RFVs, ensuring traceability and consistency with CCB outcomes
- Support Configuration Audits: Participate in Functional and Physical Configuration Audits and conduct technical assessments of engineering reviews to validate compliance and integrity of configuration items
- Review Engineering Documentation: Provide input to key engineering documentation (e.g., SEPs, TEMPs, acquisition strategies) to ensure adherence to configuration control requirements
- Collaborate with PM PNT Leadership: Facilitate change approvals, improve CM processes, and ensure continuous process alignment with mission goals
