Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with composite materials in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of composite fabrication processes, including layup, curing, and trimming
- Familiarity with composite inspection and testing methods
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Responsibilities
- Composite Layup and Assembly: Fabricate and assemble composite parts using molds, hand tools, and automated machinery
- Quality Assurance: Inspect and test composite materials and parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards
- Material Preparation: Prepare composite materials for layup, including cutting, measuring, and mixing resins
- Tooling and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair molds, tools, and equipment used in the composite fabrication process
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to interpret plans and specifications
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest composite materials, fabrication techniques, and industry best practices
- Adaptability: Quickly adapt to new fabrication processes and materials as our drone technology evolves
