Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with composite materials in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of composite fabrication processes, including layup, curing, and trimming
  • Familiarity with composite inspection and testing methods

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Responsibilities

  • Composite Layup and Assembly: Fabricate and assemble composite parts using molds, hand tools, and automated machinery
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and test composite materials and parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards
  • Material Preparation: Prepare composite materials for layup, including cutting, measuring, and mixing resins
  • Tooling and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair molds, tools, and equipment used in the composite fabrication process
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to interpret plans and specifications
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest composite materials, fabrication techniques, and industry best practices
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapt to new fabrication processes and materials as our drone technology evolves
