Requirements

Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or AML environment - ideally within the real estate industry
Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulatory obligations
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
The ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
A professional and personable manner, with a positive attitude and the ability to see the bigger picture
Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or law is desirable but not essential
Proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting high-performing teams

Responsibilities

Utilise workflow management platforms to conduct customer due diligence (CDD/ECDD)
Review onboarding documentation and verify client identity and beneficial ownership
Maintain AML/CFT registers, records, and audit trails
Respond to AML-related queries from brokers and clients
Conduct quality assurance testing on AML processes and recommend improvements
Follow up with clients on missing or adverse information
Monitor transactions and manage AML/CFT processes
Assess Source of Wealth/Source of Funds documentation for adequacy under the AML/CFT Act
Assist with property listings and conduct brand compliance audits
