Requirements

  • Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or AML environment - ideally within the real estate industry
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulatory obligations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • The ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A professional and personable manner, with a positive attitude and the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or law is desirable but not essential
  • Proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting high-performing teams

Responsibilities

  • Utilise workflow management platforms to conduct customer due diligence (CDD/ECDD)
  • Review onboarding documentation and verify client identity and beneficial ownership
  • Maintain AML/CFT registers, records, and audit trails
  • Respond to AML-related queries from brokers and clients
  • Conduct quality assurance testing on AML processes and recommend improvements
  • Follow up with clients on missing or adverse information
  • Monitor transactions and manage AML/CFT processes
  • Assess Source of Wealth/Source of Funds documentation for adequacy under the AML/CFT Act
  • Assist with property listings and conduct brand compliance audits
