Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory management is a plus
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field
  • Proficiency in inventory software and basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, SAP systems)
  • Ability to send professional emails and use computer systems for record keeping and ordering supplies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with vendors and internal staff
  • Physical ability to lift and move items as required (regularly lift and/or move 30 pounds using safe lifting techniques)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • English language proficiency is required
  • Willingness to comply with biosecurity/animal welfare/safety requirements (showering, changing clothing/footwear, no jewelry except medical ID, body piercings covered, sign agreement to avoid avian species, abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments and outgoing supplies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management systems
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all goods in accordance with safety and handling guidelines
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and vendors to coordinate deliveries and resolve inventory issues
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively order supplies and stock as needed
  • Assist with periodic inventory audits and reporting
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
  • Identify and report damaged or missing items
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control
