  • 4 to 5 years of experience in project management or client-facing roles; experience in a pharma environment preferred but not required
  • 3 years of experience acceptable with an advanced degree
  • Demonstrated project management skills: manages several medium-sized and/or complex active projects independently; structures projects in line with client strategy, identifying needs, establishing goals, defining resources, and tracking performance; diagnoses project challenges proactively, developing solutions with minimal guidance and mentoring team members; defines, tracks, and manages budgets and revisions to reflect scope changes and commitments; understands customer contract terms and skilled in negotiation techniques
  • Demonstrated client relationship management skills: performs comprehensive need analyses, understanding the customer's target market and value proposition; knowledgeable of Thermo Fisher’s solutions portfolio and communicates the company’s value proposition in relation to the competition
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge: leverages and interprets data independently to ensure successful project results and customer happiness; leads projects efficiently in different systems, maintaining accountability for outcomes; advances work process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated project management leadership: seeks mentorship and guidance for personal development and strengthens project management skills; ensures clear, focused communication using the most appropriate medium; collaborates on solutions to problems, aligning timelines among cross-functional teams; takes ownership of project results, encouraging team respect and ensuring agreement on the vision

Responsibilities

  • Independently manages a client portfolio of moderate to strategic or complex projects
  • Leads the delivery of all technical and service aspects of projects and studies for clients, seeking opportunities for process efficiency and creative problem-solving
  • Crafts the preliminary study design and coordinates the study from start to finish
  • Collaborates with key team members within the company and maintains direct contact with internal departments and external customers
  • Ensures continuous communication and high-quality work delivery, coordinating with quality management systems
  • Participates in project meetings at Fisher Clinical or customer sites, representing the business at kick-off meetings
  • Leads and facilitates customer teleconferences, visits, and audits, providing timely customer reports and updates
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance/Regulatory personnel to resolve Problem Reports
  • Translates customer needs into quotations and monitors and amends the quote and budget as needed
  • Provides accurate and timely financial forecasting and reporting
  • Ensures revenue recognition for projects and verifies final production information before invoice release
  • Participates in cross-functional business process improvement activities
  • Collaborates with the account manager to improve customer happiness
  • Applies GXP standards in all areas of responsibility
  • May train, mentor, or lead new colleagues on the team
