Candidates must have at least 3 years of Corporate Actions experience, including direct DTC Corporate Action Web experience. A strong understanding of ICE CA data, BNY processing, OCC Option CA processes, and Brokerage Clearing operations is required. General knowledge of U.S. securities back office operations of a clearing firm, financial industry rules, regulations, and laws is necessary. Basic knowledge of SQL, metabase, or other database coding languages is needed, along with proficiency in both Microsoft and Google document and spreadsheet solutions. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment with multiple priorities is essential. Candidates must be able to adapt to regulatory changes and possess or obtain a FINRA SIE within 180 days of employment.
The Corporate Actions Associate will be the primary processor for distributions, reorganizations, and redemptions for all supported asset types, including equities, fixed income, and options. This role involves reviewing and validating corporate action event details for accuracy before posting them to customer accounts. Responsibilities include interfacing daily with external vendors and custodians to confirm event and allocation details, balancing and reconciling corporate actions booked against suspense and wash accounts, and researching breaks to prevent aging. The associate will serve as a subject matter expert for corporate actions, respond to related tickets, handle voluntary corporate action requests, and enhance procedures for new tasks and asset classes. Collaboration with engineering on the automation of daily self-clearing processes and learning other areas in the clearing space to assist during downtime are also key responsibilities.
