Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid appropriate state driver’s license (general operator license); must be willing to obtain CDL
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy construction work
Knowledge of applicable safety precautions
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Excellent stamina; ability to quickly move arms and legs; good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, in outside conditions including inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt; tolerance for loud noise levels

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects on trenchless CIPP pipeline rehabilitation
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment onto/from trucks
Cut brush and clear ground around pipe and manholes using pick, shovel, wheelbarrow, and ax
Roll up hoses and lay hoses flat
Set up and perform traffic control at site as directed
Cut pipe ends out of manholes
Operate a variety of hand and power tools
Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Director
May assist other craft workers
