Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is required, or a Bachelor's degree in another science field with additional hands-on laboratory experience. Previous supervisory experience and/or experience working independently are preferred. Candidates must be dependable, punctual, possess a solid understanding of laboratory testing techniques and safety guidelines, and have computer skills including spreadsheet and report creation. The ability to perform detail-oriented, mistake-free work and strong teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Chemical Lab Technician will conduct routine chemical and physical analysis by running tests, including mechanical and wet chemical bench tests for production fluids and solids. They will assist technical support personnel in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results, and handle special projects as assigned. Responsibilities include working with advanced laboratory equipment such as ICP, IC, GC, XRD, IR, Microwave Ash Ovens, and Digesters, and communicating results to supervisors in a detailed manner.
