Must be 16 years or older
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Residential Nursing Assistant certification
Ability to work part-time (at least 24 hours per pay period), day shift (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), with rotating weekends/holidays
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential job functions satisfactorily (reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities without undue hardship to employer)

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities, providing physical and emotional support
Develop close relationships with residents and their families, understanding individual needs and preferences
Provide companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
Monitor the health and safety of residents, identifying potential hazards and ensuring quick access to help
Maintain cleanliness in residents’ living spaces
Notify nurses or supervisors about changes in residents' conditions
Maintain accurate records of residents' information
Follow established policies and procedures related to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control, hazardous and chemical communication
Mentor new employees and assist with their orientation
Lead by example, following Freeman Regional Health Services CARE standards
