Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sales, with preference given to experience in cardiology, rare diseases, or specialty products. Experience with sole territory ownership is highly desirable, and prior specialty product launch experience is preferred.
As a Cardiovascular Account Specialist, you will be responsible for introducing Cytokinetics in your territory, launching its first commercial product for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), and driving sales results by developing territory-specific account plans, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and establishing relationships with strategic IDNs, hospitals, cardiology clinics, and specialty pharmacies. You will also serve as a subject matter expert, delivering clinically relevant information to healthcare professionals, communicating approved resources, and focusing on creating demand for the product launch.
Develops drugs for muscle function disorders
Cytokinetics focuses on developing medicines that improve muscle function for patients with cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases. Their products are small molecule drugs designed to either enhance or inhibit muscle function, tailored to specific therapeutic needs. The company has a pipeline of drugs, including omecamtiv mecarbil and reldesemtiv, which are in various stages of clinical trials.
