Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of ACATS experience and possess knowledge of Brokerage Clearing operations and financial industry regulations. Familiarity with ACAT systems (NSCC), regulations, and industry practices governing both ACAT and non-ACAT transfers is essential. The ability to identify documentation/processing irregularities and outline corrective measures is also required.

Responsibilities

The Brokerage Operations Associate will assist internal and external customers with daily account transfer requests, process ACAT transfers in/out activity, and prepare for the transition to self-clearing in DTCC. Responsibilities include handling communications with contra firms and transfer agents, processing mass account transfers/conversions, serving as the Subject Matter Expert on transfers, and researching/responding to inquiry tickets. The role involves ensuring ACAT requests are processed within firm timelines and industry guidelines, processing ACAT free deliveries and fail reversals, and working cross-functionally to create efficient operational processes. Additionally, the associate will drive continuous operational improvement, support business unit management with policy applications, assist on automation of daily self-clearing processes, and prepare summary documentation for special projects.
